Portugal-Croácia in National Stadium

Portugal will play Croatia, at the National Stadium, on June 8, at 5:45 pm, in another preparation match for Euro 2024.

The National Team thus returns to Jamor after having played its last game there ten years ago.

The meeting with Croatia will be one of three tests that Portugal will do before traveling to Germany. Portugal is in the group with Czechia, Turkey and winner of play-off C (Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan or Luxembourg).

The Croatian counterpart, in the final phase of Euro 2024, is part of the group of Spain, Italy and Albania.

It will be the eighth time that Portugal and Croatia face each other, and the balance is frankly positive for the National Team: in seven games, six wins and a draw.

The Portuguese team will once again play a game at Jamor. It will be the 51st after ten years ago they faced Greece, then coached by former national coach Fernando Santos. On the bench of Portugal was Paulo Bento and the game ended in a draw (0-0).

The first presentation of the Seleção at the National Stadium was on April 14, 1946 against France. A 2-1 victory with goals from Araújo and Peyroteo.
